Recent Transformations
Torsion Spring Failure on a Two-Car Door
Before
AfterThe problem: a torsion spring, the heavy coil mounted above the door that handles most of the lifting weight, snapped around 6:40 on a Tuesday morning. The door was stuck half-open with one side sagging a good four inches. We replaced both springs, rebalanced the door, and had the homeowner’s car out before she finished her second cup of coffee. The after shot shows the door sitting level and lifting with one hand.
Steel Panel Replacement After a Tailgate Mishap
Before
AfterThe problem: a teenage driver backed into the bottom two panels hard enough to bow the track. You could see daylight through the middle of the door. We straightened the track, replaced both damaged panels with color-matched steel, and checked every hinge for stress. The result looks like it never happened, and the door runs quieter than it did before the hit.
Opener Motor Burnout on a 2013 LiftMaster
Before
AfterThe problem: a 12-year-old LiftMaster chain-drive finally gave out. The motor hummed, the door didn’t move, and the homeowner had been parking in the driveway for a week. We pulled the old unit, installed a new belt-drive LiftMaster with battery backup, and reprogrammed the keypad and both remotes. The after shot shows a clean ceiling mount and a door that opens at conversation volume instead of a rattling chain.
Full Door Replacement on a 1998 Wooden Door

The problem: a 25-year-old wooden door was rotting along the bottom panel and the paint had peeled down to bare grain. Georgia humidity had done its work. We measured the opening, ordered a new insulated steel door with a row of frosted windows, and had it installed in a morning. The temperature difference inside that garage is noticeable in July, and the street appeal doesn’t hurt either.
Roller and Cable Failure on a Wayne Dalton Door

The problem: a nylon roller disintegrated under load, which threw the door off track and frayed the cable against the rail. The door was grinding and shaking every time it moved. We replaced all rollers with sealed-bearing nylon, installed a new cable set, and checked the drum alignment on both sides. The after shot shows the door gliding straight up the track with no wobble and half the noise.
Hinge and Section Alignment After Years of Strain

The problem: a single-car steel door had been nursing failing hinges for years. Sections were misaligned by a quarter inch at the center seam, and the door would bind halfway up. We installed heavy-duty hinges at all four seams, corrected the section alignment, and re-tensioned the springs to match the corrected weight. The door now clears the opening without a single pop or scrape, and the homeowner said it sounds like a different door entirely.
